Dabba Cartel Review
Dabba Cartel is the survival story of five women living in Thane and the limits they are willing to go to in order to win the fight and achieve the dreams. The five women are – business woman, Varuna (Jyotika), VivaLife Housing Complex maid-cum-entrepreneur, Mala (Nimisha Sajayan), real estate broker, Shahida (Anjali Anand), housewife-cum-entrepreneur Raji (Shalini Pandey) and the retired Ba/Ajji aka Sheila (Shabana Azmi). The others who play an important part in taking the narrative forwards are police personal Preeti (Sai Tamhankar) and Moun (Lillette Dubey) as well as Santanu Ghatak as Bhowmick Bose, Gajraj Rao and Jisshu Sengupta in pivotal roles.
What Works
The biggest plus of this Netflix series is its writing. The narrative doesn’t focuses on developing plots, twists and turns or cliffhangers, but emphasizes on building each and every character beautifully.
